The product description was clear that it was the amber tone, but i was hoping it would be bright enough because i wanted the remote on and off control rather than switching each light on and off individually. The uneven waxy appearance is quite interesting. Some say it does not fit into their tea light holders, but I did not find this to be the case in the holders i used. The remote works perfectly and eliminates all the fuss.
