Very Large knife, superbly made and can be passed on to your children if it’s properly maintained. Impressive that it was once available for $35. I regret that I didn’t buy one at the lower price, but am not at all disappointed with the $87 before, a little over $100 after tax, that I paid for this quality knife. **Q: How thick is the blade for the 12"?. Can I use this to slaughter Pig?9** A: Thank you for asking. The blade thickness is 3.0MM. And yes, you can use it for slaughtering a pig but for chicken and pork bones we would suggest the Gladiator Series The Ravager Cleaver or the Gladiator Series R The Obliterator Cleaver.
