It would take many presses to turn the light on, then many more presses to turn it off, until finally the button stopped functioning completely and the light wouldn't turn off at all. Still would have left 5 stars had the seller replaced the 1 red light as he promised in an email. I wouldn't go as far as to discourage anyone from buying this product since the functional lights do seem to be a good product so far (have used the white lights for about 3 weeks now). But I would say definitely start using all of them right away for a few days at least so you can catch any defect before the return window runs out. Bright in your face but the beam of light itself only goes a few feet ahead of you on the bike path. However, they keep me legal riding my bike at night and I have an additional bike light for added brightness when needed. They fasten quick and easy.
