Sometimes when I hear that an item is solar powered I become nervous that the light will be dim and the "battery life" will be stunted, but these little lamps proved to be wonderful! They charge quickly and work for hours throughout the night. The fan is easy to use too and I can't wait to try it out in the summer months. Super lightweight and powerful performers! I bought this for a recent camping trip. I didn’t use the fan during the trip but when I tested it out it seemed to work really well. The light was very bright and was used as our main light during the trip. It came with a charging cable but don’t lose it. It’s one of those that goes from a wall outlet to the specific port on the base. Its also very short. It does charge up pretty quickly when you use the cable. The solar charging works but it’s slower than outlet charger. The shell is made of plastic so it’s pretty lightweight. It does come with thin metal handles on the top that fold to the sides and one on the side. Overall it works as intended. I originally got it for the solar aspect. I used it for three days and left it hanging in my tent most of the time. It still charged through the tent which is really nice. I only used the light on this trip so it may not hold as much of a charge if you use the fan as well.
