The LLPT 94 Adhesion Promoter is a fast-drying, brush-on primer designed to dramatically enhance the bonding strength of acrylic double-sided mounting tapes on low surface energy materials like plastic, metal, and glass. ## Description

APPLICATION INSTRUCTION: 1. Substrate formulations and surface energies may vary for different materials; each application should be tested for compatibility in a small range before large area application. 2. Wear gloves when you use this product to avoid any skin injury and see doctor immediately if swallow this product by accident. 3. The bonding surface should be clean and dry. Contaminated surface should be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or acetone solvent. 4. Shake the bottle gently before using. 5. Use gravity feed wipe, knurled roller or brush to apply a thin, uniform coating thickness onto bonding surfaces, which is approximately 0.002 inch (0.05 mm) or less. 6. Apply promoter only to areas that will be fully covered with tape and a drying time of 30 to 90 seconds is recommended. SPECIAL NOTES: Completely use up this liquid contents as soon as possible after opening or seal securely for next use. Apply a thin, uniform coating to the bonding surface, using the minimum amount that will fully coat the surface. Suitable on low surface energy materials before tape application to increase the initial bonding; operation temperature is between 60oF - 90 oF; coverage: approximately 75 m2 (800 ft2 ) per gallon (Based on 0.002 inch wet coating thickness). Cyclohexane: 45-50%; M-Xylene: 10-15%; O-Xylene: 5-12%; Ethylbenzene: 3-5%; Epoxy: 0.1-1%.

Review: Works well - It works well as intended. I was able to get some carbon fiber trim to stick on my door panels. I first tried without the adhesion promoter and the trim would not stick. Once I applied the liquid and let it dry, it stuck perfectly. It's a good product but the pads are not very wet so even though the part I was attaching was rather small, it took two pads to get enough on the panel to allow adhesion.
Review: Makes your double sided tape hold stronger. - I used this to mount a LED flexible light strip in my vehicle because double sided tape alone wasn't holding tooo well. I used this and it the double sided tape has been holding for a few months now with no signs of failure. This stuff works and easy to apply and worth the money.

**Q: Can this be used before spray painting plastics? Or only for double-side tapes?**
A: It will improve for spray painting

**Q: Do you apply the tape to the bonding surface when the Primer is still Wet or after it's Dry?**
A: Better apply the tape right away, longest in a few mins and don't wait too long.

**Q: I want to use this primer on hdpe film and then apply a bead of silicone or other sealant. will the sealant adhere or is the primer only for tape?**
A: This promoter is for double sided tape to increase the initial bonding, specially for Acrylic double sided tape.

**Q: can this be used with scotch tape ?**
A: Yes it can. Apply to the sticky side of the tape and let dry. After it is dry, it should be good to use the tape.

As others have said, the pouches are just a dried up cloth in them. The product in the bottle seems to work just fine.
