THE SPOOKY WHEELS ON THE BUS

The media could not be loaded. I have a tradition I started for some holidays, not all.A new book and pair of pajamas for the night before Halloween. I think it’s a great way to get them excited and incorporate reading and books as much as you can.My child is 20 months old and a book fanatic. He can be picky about books though, if they hold his interest, if the pictures are good and more. If he doesn’t sit through it, then I know it’s not for him.He really enjoyed this book. He loves songs, wheels on the bus - buses are his favorite. If that’s your child, then they’ll love it too. And even if they don’t enjoy wheels on the bus the way they illustrated and wrote the book makes it interactive because you have to sing the words. It’s not a story, just a Halloween twist to wheels on the bus.Another thing - it has great Halloween vocabulary. I’ve been teaching my little one ghost, bat, pumpkin, witch etc. He really picked up on those throughout the book.And of course Schoolastic has great age appropriate books and have been around for many, many years. I remember them as a younger child.Happy Halloween!

This book is a gem. I'm a music teacher and I use it in my early childhood music classes for 2 years and up. Silly renditions of spooky halloween characters that aren't scary in the slightest. Lots of opportunity for actions and singing along. It's beneficial to expose young children to these characters in a silly way so they're less afraid when they see them on everyone's front porch!

My son’s two favourite things are buses (and the song) and monsters. This book suited him perfectly! It is really well written and illustrated and he just absolutely loves it. We might have to buy a back up copy as our current copy is so well-used it is starting to wither a bit! A must-read for little Halloween and/or bus fans.
