**Q: What is the warranty?**
A: There's a 10 year warranty on this item.

**Q: Can this be wired to a dimmer switch to control speed, or does it need to be connected to a fan speed switch?**
A: Yes. I used this one, which is recommended by the fan manufacturer. For wide speed ranges, there is an adjustment screw on the inside of the controller. The speed controller allowed everything from full blast to a fully stopped fan. It is perfect for this blower.  Basically the screw on the inside controls how much speed range is available when turning the big knob. **Q: would you recommend using this fan to split to 3, 4" lines to pull exhaust from 3, 2x2 tents?**
A: Yes, this fan can be used to pull from multiple locations using a Y splitter. You may be able to use the 6" for that small of an area, but I would recommend the 8". You can always hook the 8" up to a fan speed adjuster if for some reason you'd like to dial down the velocity.

**Q: This is a great fan but I am wondering how many amps it is using? If any one knows the amps that would be appreciated, thank you.**
A: We at GrowersHouse tested this fan in our lab and got these results: 728 CFM at 0wg, 77 decibles, 217 watts, 1.8 amps

I bought this fan to exhaust heat generated by 3 10hp pump motors in an underground vault. I really like the hard plastic construction of the fan housing, as the location is in SW Florida in a high humidity environment. I also like the sealed bearing brushless motor! The fan moves a lot of air very quietly and vibration free. I also like the mounting bracket, as it is easy to install and gives a sealed fit when coupled up to my 8" PVC vent exhaust pipe. I highly recommend this fan!

Have only tested the product in place at this point. It is located in my attic using an insulated duct that also has another layer of insulation around it. When on full, as I tested it, yes you could hear the flow of air as it moves a lot of air. However, it is not what I expected reading some of the other reviews. Once I have my speed adjustment working, I will not need to use the full volume. Bottom line, much quieter then expected. Do not suggest using this in an open space or the noise might be an issue, but for an enclosed area......does the trick. Highly recommended for an attic or out of the way installation.

This fan moves serious amounts of air. A spring on the damper was broken, so the damper wouldn't close. Contacted Vortex and they sent me two new dampers. Overall this is a quiet fan, the noise is the air moving at high speed. Installed a variable speed controller and the fan will run perfectly from 1-100%
