## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this a true POE camera? not like the others where it still requires a power adapter to power up.**
A: POE comes in 2 flavors; Active and passive.  This camera requires either a Switch delivering at least 12V per port (POE+ 802.3at) or an active POE injector.  THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH A PASSIVE INJECTOR.  If you don't have or want to purchase either, you can use a 12-Volt power adaptor (not supplied) to power the camera thru the power dongle.

**Q: What's the frame rate at 4K?**
A: Frame Rate at 4k is at 15fps, 2k and lower is 30fps

**Q: This cameras are WiFi or wireless**
A: Not WiFi or any kind of wireless. This is an Ethernet-connected camera.  It can also get its power over the Ethernet cable from a power injector or PoE (Power over Ethernet) switch, neither of which are included. Or you can use a separate power adapter (also not included.)

**Q: What is the operating temperature range of the camera?**
A: 30° C ~ +60° C (-22° F ~ +140° F) / Less than 95% RH

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Homelab Must Have.

I recently bought two of these cameras to integrate into my homelab and provide my home with a bit of security. I cannot express enough how pleased I am with the quality of these cameras. They were easy to configure and setup with Frigate was painlessly easy.The audio quality is top notch, even though I couldn't get the default AAC audio codec to work and had to use G.711A instead.Installation of the cameras is a no brainer, you just losten the dome cover with 3 screws with the provided hex wrench, set your screws internally once you're happy with it's placement and then re-secure the cover.The camera can be rotated (manually) inside the dome 360 and has a solid vertical adjustment as well.I'm colorblind so I suppose I can't vouch much for the color "quality" but from what I can tell it's quite vibrant. And the AMCREST WebUI for the cameras gives you a lot of control over the image quality. The IR strength can be adjusted as well as Brightness/Contrast/Exposure/Gamma/Sharpness ect.You can adjust the audio gain within the webUI as well. Even at 25% gain I can hear conversations from those at the pumps across the street; so it's quite good though it's sensitive enough you'll want to adjust your output speakers volume; don't make the mistake I did and forget your 5.1 surround is set quite loud baha!I will most certainly be buying more of these for additional angles on the house as well as a couple for inside the house to monitor my kids and Lord forbid any unwelcome visitors.
