Vallejo Weathering FX European Thick Mud is a 40ml water-based acrylic paint designed for scale models and miniatures. ## Description

A dark brown color with traces of vegetation, most commonly observed in central European terrain and humid areas of the Mediterranean countries. 40ml bottle.

Review: great mud for a great time - my review is closely tied closely with the photos I have added. the biggest thing that I use this paint for is my Mini's, and I find that it is perfect for adding a layer of life to them. I have tried to show off in the photos the different ways to apply the paint if you are painting a trench warfare style army/battlefield. it is a way to add texture to anything. if you look at some of the photos included you will see many different textures (from the light mud of the officer and retinue and the regular guardsmen), that is because the paint is textured and it feels like the paint was truly mixed into mud. it can also be added to just add texture, in the picture of the artillery piece, I have a small layer of mud on the floor boards, and even though there is no difference in the color, there are a massive difference in the texture. all the bases I had used on the minis are bare basses with the mud and a touch of grass, any and all shapes and differences on the bases is just the paint, basically remember that the paint is thicker; which helps because it feels more like mud. I hope this review helps a little while you are thinking what is possible, even if not written the best.

**Q: Would you recommend this for basing miniatures?**
A: It goes on wet and just like mud when dry has the same texture as dry soil

**Q: Can you use this to paint on cloth?**
A: I suppose if you build it up enough on cloth it will dry but I bet it would break up if the cloth isn’t kept flat.  It dries great with texture and even looks wet on plastic

**Q: Will this work well with an RC tank that gets driven?**
A: i would not recommend it

Getting back into modeling but building an m4a3e8 model that was made on a 3D printer. Being a big fan of “Fury” I wanted to try to recreate a very muddy/dirty tank to practice my weathering skills before moving onto more expensive kits. This mud worked FANTASTIC. It can easily be applied with a sponge or a brush (I’d suggest a brush you don’t care about) and then dabbed on thick or light. Dries relatively quickly and seems to hold up when dried. You could definitely thin it with water or thinner to make a thinner mud if you were looking for that.
