Also what is the process of "washing" it?** A: These are questions that the seller would have to answer and I never heard of it being washed regularly. **Q: Why does the antler have a hook with screw on it** A: I don’t see any screws on it. Just a cut-up antler. **Q: How big is the ex large** A: Mine was barely 7" long (pointed tip to pointed tip) and only close to 1" wide (which does not seem to be "wide girth" worth extra money from the Large of same length. This is only the size of a Medium Nylabone! It also came with hairline cracks all over as if it is old. **Q: have you had any reported problems with splintering? i have a super duper extreme monster chewer and she is merciless on toys.** A: Mine is a big chewer as well and this is his 3rd antler. He loves it and I have never seen a splinter, however, when he chews on it aggressively, pieces break off.
