All Blazer butane is on backorder.** A: I use Power 5x&it works awesome. U can get a case of 12 cans on Amazon for around $30. I've been buying&using this brand for a couple years now&buy it by the case(12). I use several different torches all day long&this Blazer torch is my favorite by far. I know I'm answering a question about the fuel used in this torch, but I have to say I would recommend this torch to ANYONE looking for an awesome,HOT,pin point torch. I use it more than any of the other 7 we use at work,i,including a dual head flame throwing torch. This Blazer blows all others out of the water! We have bought&returned more than 14 torches in the last yr&this is by far the favorite around the shop! 10 stars for this bad boy&the Power 5x brand fuel can't be beat for the price. I give the Power5x 10 stars as well! **Q: With use on titanium, how is the noise level compared to a plumbers propane torch?** A: Its honestly not as loud. Ive had this torch for about 3 months now, only thing to watch out for is to make sure the knob is COMPLETELY tightened otherwise the gas will leak out...found that out the hard way >.> but as for noise id put a plumbers torch at 8/10 and this torch a 5/10 for noise **Q: Does this come ready to us? All I need is a butane refill?** A: Yes but should use Blazer Butane refills ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by E***N on 20 August 2026* Such a good torch. It’s been a god send for soldering jewellery ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Powerful, Reliable Torch with a Solid Build *by A***T on 23 September 2026* The Blazer GT8000 Big Shot feels very well made and has been reliable every time I’ve used it. The base keeps it stable on a work surface, and the overall build feels much sturdier than cheaper torches I’ve tried. A dependable, high-quality torch that performs exactly as expected. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great hand torch for concentrates and all other uses *by B***E on 24 March 2015* When it comes to concentrates, this is your torch. Massive flame, good fuel dispersion(doesn't slowly die out as fuel becomes low). Flame is big enough to fully heat large ceramic nails evenly with minimal motion. Glass and titanium are a breeze. Whereas I would have to initially heat my 14mm ceramic nail for a minute with my Bernzomatic hand torch(ST2200T), the Big Shot handles this in about 10-15 seconds. Just be careful as there is no safety shut off. Only closing off the fuel supply kills the flame on this bad boy(like propane torches). It's not like a regular creme brulee hand torch with a ignition button release safety. If you drop it on something that isn't flame retardant/resistant while its running and the flame doesn't flicker out, you're going to do some damage. Be responsible when using this thing. Again, the flame on this is massive for a butane torch. Be careful not to burn anything when igniting for the first time. And keep in mind this thing uses no crappy plastic around the nozzle. The brassremains hot for quite a while after use. I saw another reviewer complain about this, but this is a heavy duty hand torch, plastic, in my opinion, would be unacceptable. This isn't a precision torch, doesn't have a soldering head attachment, and likely isn't what you want for precise application of heat(though you can make the flame pretty fine, given the flame size its capable of throwing) , but from my experiences, this is the best torch all around for concentrates, and I'd imagine it is more than satisfactory for most other plausible applications. ## Frequently Bought Together - Blazer GT8000 Big Shot Butane Torch - Zippo Butane Fuel 75 Milliliter / 2.5 Ounces (2-Pack) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/336751320-big-shot-gt8000](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/336751320-big-shot-gt8000) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
