Review: Does the job but you need to fiddle with it. - Rolled a pair or 4 1/2 ID rings using 1x1/8 A36. Simple enough! I used a file to cut a nick in the adjuster knob so I could count turns and get back to a previous point of adjustment. Very helpful. If you want to make multiple rings cut multiple pieces of stock and run them all through, one pass each before you adjust the knob. This is a low cost tool so don’t expect too much. If you are working around your house and need a part now and then it will do fine. If you are planning on using this tool to make money with it it will probably drive you nuts! I recommend it for the homeowner.

**Q: Is 1/4" tube as od (outside diameter)?**
A: Yes, ¼" is the outside diameter.

**Q: Are the rollers smooth? Would soft metal, like brass, be marked by rollers?**
A: Hi, thanks for your inquiry. The roller surface is knurled as the picture showing. Probably there will be pressing mark in soft metal.

**Q: Can you set it for a specific diameter and just roll it or is it just trial and error**
A: The diameter of the bend you make is going to depend on the length of your stock. There is no diameter setting. Make your bends in quarter turn increments, roll and repeat. This machine is mainly for rings. If you’re trying to make decorative bends that can be achieved but not exactly what it’s for. Hope that helps.

**Q: Can it roll 1 inch copper tubing**
A: I don't believe so, there is not a groove to ride in for 1" material, may flatten it

Works well on 1"x 1/8" flat, though it is a bit difficult to adjust to the exact diameter you're shooting for. I mounted it to a post for clearance of the stock.
