What am I missing ?** A: Possibly it is the amount or proportion of the whitening ingredient that differs. My dentist recommended Sensodyne as a low abrasion toothpaste, so I tried the maximum whitening formula. Unfortunately for me, my teeth which had not previously been sensitive became sensitive to cold whilst using the product, but returned to normal when I quit. As sensitive teeth can be caused by whitening agents, I tried the gently whitening formula Sensodyne toothpaste, and have had no further problem with sensitivity. **Q: What toothpaste is similar? It says it cannont be shipped to my address, ... in Texas?** A: You can use the Crest Gum Detoxify a little expensive but you will be happy with results. **Q: I don't see any mention of tartar control. Is that just a given, or this toothpaste does not have ingredients for it?** A: It gets rid of tarter very well. Especially on my teeth. I have sensitive teeth and this helps keep the pain at bay. It cleans well while still being gentle and is recommended by my dentist. I'm not sure if I really notice any results from the whitening part but my dentist says since I am an avid coffee drinker, the staining to my teeth is fairly minimal compared to others, so maybe it does work.
