This is much larger than my original pot, and all Le Creuset (like similar cast iron/ceramic pots) is HEAVY. With a 12 lb turkey, it was all I could do to get it into the oven, but wow, what a turkey; best one I ever made (using Gordon Ramsey’s recipe of course ;). The round small one I have is the best for bread, rice, stews for four people. This one is for a crowd, no matter what you’re making in it. I’ve used the cheaper versions - they just don’t hold up as well; they’ve chipped easily or the lids don’t fit correctly for a nice tight close.
