Puzzles with 1000 pieces have pieces that are much too small for me. I like 500 piece puzzles, but those pieces are still not all that large. The quality is amazing and if you're an avid puzzler, I highly recommend this brand. Our family particularly likes the large format, especially my kids. I find these puzzles are a great way to stimulate our brains and enjoy it at the same time. It also gets my kids away from the electronics without much of a fight. The pieces connect smoothly and the back is fuzzy. Which makes them great to put together if you have a puzzle board. The only thing I would note is when you open the puzzle pieces for the first time, so it on a surface that is easy to clean. There will be very fine blue particles (from the backing) that may not be as easy to clean up on certain surfaces.
