Yes! It sure can. But if there’s any amount of “slant” caused by the interaction with the car you want to be sure the sipping home is on the upside of that grade. It seems to do fine while driving but opening and closing the door will cause a “bloop” of liquid to pop out of the cup and hit the floor. Not a deal breaker for me, we just form a habit. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not a great cupholder, look elswhere *by C***R on March 7, 2022* Got is for my old 2008 F-150 as the cupholder it has is on the floor by the gear shifter (yes, I have a basic, manual everything F-150). The upper bracket is very cheap and weak, I am expecting it to break within a month. The metal strip is not long enough to fit the door near the AC vent (where it would be easier to reach) so I need to put it back by the lock. This is a very awkward position for my coffee cup. It does not slide in between the window and the gasket easily with the window up, I had to roll the window down, insert the holder on the right side and slide it back to the left side of the door. It is easy to remove because it is not very secure in the first place. Overall I gave it a 3 and that is generous.
