For such a well loved dish, I think it's important. Nevertheless, that didn't stop me following the recipe and making the best beef rendang I've ever cooked. Also, you wouldn't believe how much the flavours develop when it's been in the freezer for a while. Truth be told, that's what prompted me to write this review as I've just finished off the last of the rendang I made about three months ago.
