Review: Water tastes so much better - I live in an area with very hard water, everything is covered in build-up, but I refuse to buy bottled water. I invested in the LifeStraw countertop water pitcher, and it works so well. The filters are easy to install and filter the water relatively quickly, comparable to my old Brita pitcher. I have not had any leakage onto my countertops. The size of the filters makes them easy to store in the pantry. I love how the design includes 2 filters making sure the water is as clean as possible. The taste of the water is so much better now, I will never go back to 1 filter again!

J’ai tenu à commander les vrais filtres de la même marque, car la filtration est ainsi optimale (elle a été testée), et le petit filtre en charbon que l’on change aux 2 moins apporte un ajout d’ions bénéfiques (électrolytes) que les filtres de la concurrence n’apportent pas. Donc clairement pour moi cet ensemble de rechange de la marque d’origine est indispensable! On est certain que ça ira parfaitement. En conclusion, je dirais que je suis toujours pleinement satisfaite de l’ensemble Lifestraw home (filtres et carafe), mais il faut savoir qu’au changement de filtre, il y a transitoirement un petit goût moins agréable, mais qui ne dure pas. Aussi est-il conseillé de faire une première filtration complète qu’on jettera. Personnellement, je pense que 2 filtrations c’est encore mieux.

**Q: how often do i have to replace filter?**
A: There are two filters, carbon filter is good for 150 liters filtering, change every two months. The micro filter is good for 1000 liters change once a year.

**Q: Can i buy only activated carbon? Its not necessary to buy complete replacement when it can be used 264 galleons. Its seems extra cost**

**Q: Does the replacement filter work in both the 10cup and 7 cup pitchers?**
A: YES

**Q: Does this reduce nitrate in the water? Thank you!**
A: From initial our research, we have deducted that activated carbon material is not effective at removing nitrates from water. Since we have never tested our LifeStraw products against nitrates and nitrites, we do not have conclusive data on this type of removal percentage.
