But I don’t recall ever having a failed or distorted staple, when using this Bostitch stapler. Nor has it ever jammed. This product is a tribute to whoever engineered it. Even though the body of the stapler is made of plastic, it feels solid, and has a bit of heft to it for such a small stapler. I got it so I could staple booklets together, but because the angle on the top portion hangs over so far it makes trying to line up the stapler with the crease in the paper almost impossible. Plus the there is no little lip between the front section (the metal portion that is bent inward with the slit in it) and the metal body (sometimes cheaper made staplers have this lip), and so it makes aligning the stapler with the "spine" of the booklets difficult as well. It's too well made, I guess. The staple has empty space after it's done, as if there should have been more pages!** A: Seems that you may be using the incorrect size/staples too long. Light duty staples are shorter than heavy duty staples. Heavy duty staples leave a gap with a few stapled papers as they're made for use with 40+ more pages, i.e., heavy duty stapler. **Q: Can this stapler use the bostich 3/8'' power crown staples?** A: No. Only 1/4" staples. There is another Bostich that will take the longer staples and does more pages, but this one will comfortable do 40 pages even with the 1/4" staple **Q: Who sends a stapler with not one staple? you do?** A: Well, for the small price I paid for this stapler and its quality, I didn't worry about it coming with staples. It uses standard staples anyway, so don't you have some left from your old stapler? **Q: Is this a low force stapler for hand held use?** A: I find I can easily use it one-handed. I can use it holding it up, or pressing it down on a desk.
