**Q: Does this item actually have an adc that communicates with the scope or are we paying $200 for a glorified ide ribbon?**
A: This is the logic probe interface,  buffer but not the adc.  It is an accessory for the main Rigol scope.

**Q: Does this come with the test clips?  (Not shown in photo)**
A: Yes, it comes with a set of leads and grabbers. There is a sketch of the included parts in the RPL1116 datasheet

**Q: Do i have to buy an additional software license to make this work in "full"?**
A: Hello, first of all, thank you for your support to RIGOL!
RPL1116 logic probe can only be used with RIGOL DS1000Z series oscilloscope (such as DS1074Z Plus,DS1104Z Plus, etc.), you only need to buy a DS1000Z series oscilloscope and RPL1116 probe, you can directly use. No additional software license is required.

**Q: Is this compatible with the DS1102D?**
A: No, that probe is only compatible with the DS1000Z series. The correct probe for the DS1000D scope can be found on the product page for that series.
