This product is calcium carbonate, use 5/8 teaspoon per gallon to lower acidity 15%. Use before fermentation. Do not reduce acid more than 30%

Review: I found recipes on-line for making clear gesso with this product and it worked beautifully. You can paint it over an acrylic painting (or any other surface that's dry) and you will be able to draw on it. I did tinker with the recipe (there's no one way to do it) but was very happy with the results. If you are buying this product for that purpose, I'd highly recommend it.

A: I am sorry but I do nnot know the answer.  I use the product as a paint additive.

A: 2.39 oz

**Q: Is this cosmetic grade at all?**
A: I'm not sure - we weren't using it for that purpose. If I were to guess, I'd say no.

I was happy at the results when mixing this with paint to now have chalk paint. I searched for chalk paint in local stores and everyone was out. When i you-tubed this product to my surprise they said it would turn plain latex paint into chalk paint and it actually worked. What a cost saver this is.
