Review: Essential for Healthy Digestion — Works Exactly as It Should! - I bought Manna Pro Chick Grit for my flock after reading that young chicks sometimes struggle to digest their feed properly. This grit has been a game changer — and honestly, it’s become one of those products I’ll always keep in stock. Right away I noticed the chicks were able to eat and process their food more efficiently. Within a couple of days, their poops looked more normal and their appetite improved. The grit is finely crushed and the chickens seem to love pecking at it — which is exactly what you want for promoting proper digestion. The quality feels high and it’s clearly labeled, easy to pour, and dust-free compared to some other grits I’ve tried. I also appreciate that it’s made specifically for chicks rather than adult poultry — the size and texture are just right for little beaks and developing gizzards. Pros: ✅ Helps chicks digest feed better ✅ Good particle size for young birds ✅ Dust is minimal — easier on respiratory systems ✅ Chickens readily eat it Cons: – Doesn’t seem like a “fun treat” item — but that’s not its purpose! 😄 Overall, this grit has noticeably improved the health and comfort of my chicks, and I feel good knowing they’re getting what they need for healthy development. I highly recommend it to anyone raising young birds! Review: My chicks did well with this! - This chick grit worked great for my 3 week old as well as my 5 week old chicks. I had no idea that baby chicks could eat other things besides their growing crumble so for my first girls I only fed them their feed. Now that I’ve been doing this for quite some time I do things like sprout lentils, grow wheat grass fodder and ferment their food so I wanted to know if the baby chicks could benefit from these things as well and sure enough they can but need to be provided some chick grit first for them to be able to grind it and digest it properly so that’s when I purchased this product. The grit is super fine compared to regular chicken grit. It is slightly larger than grains of coarse sand. I was afraid the chicks wouldn’t try it but they did and I was then able to feed them sprouted lentils which they loved and ate with no issues. I made sure they ate some of the grit before feeding the lentils and both sets of chicks handled it like champs. Great product and it should last for some time since they don’t need much. ## Features - DIGESTIVE SUPPLEMENT: Essential supplement for young, growing poultry and bantam breeds; supporting healthy digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall growth while helping chicks and young birds thrive during critical early stages of development. - PROPER DIGESTION: Manna Pro Chick Grit with Probiotics supports healthy digestion; helping young chicks and bantam breeds break down food efficiently while promoting nutrient absorption, gut health, and overall growth and wellbeing. - NATURAL SUPPLEMENT: Crafted with no artificial ingredients or preservatives; providing a wholesome, safe, and nutritious supplement that supports healthy digestion, overall wellbeing, and proper growth for young poultry and bantam breeds. - SMALL SIZED: Made from insoluble crushed granite in a small size; ideal for growing poultry and bantam breeds, supporting proper digestion, efficient food grinding, and overall healthy development during early growth stages. - 2 WEEKS AND OLDER: Offer Manna Pro Chick Grit with Probiotics in a separate feeder; ideal for chicks 2 weeks and older, supporting healthy digestion, nutrient absorption, and overall growth while encouraging natural feeding behaviors. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B092GF6TG7 | | Additional Features | Probiotics for digestive health | | Age Range (Description) | Baby | | Age Range Description | Baby | | Allergen Information | Grain-Free | | Best Sellers Rank | #4,504 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #4 in Bird Health Supplies | | Brand | Manna Pro | | Brand Name | Manna Pro | | Breed Recommendation | Small Breeds | | Container Type | Bag | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 6,855 Reviews | | Dog Breed Size | Small | | Flavor | Supplement | | Item Form | Dry | | Item Type Name | Manna Pro Chick Grit | Digestive Supplement for Young Poultry and Bantam Breed | Probiotics to Support Digestion | No Artificial Ingredients or Preservatives | Insoluble Crushed Granite | 25 Pounds | | Item Weight | 25 pounds | | Manufacturer | Manna Pro | | Manufacturer Part Number | 1030852 | | Model Number | 1030852 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Product Benefits | Supports digestion and nutrient absorption | | Recommended Uses For Product | digestive health, general health | | Special Ingredients | Probiotics (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecium, Pediococcus acidilacti, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus plantarum) Special Ingredients Probiotics (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecium, Pediococcus acidilacti, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus plantarum) See more | | Specific Uses For Product | Stomach | | Target Species | Chick, Chicks | | UPC | 095668000349 | | Unit Count | 400 Ounce | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Baby - **Brand:** Manna Pro - **Flavor:** Supplement - **Item Form:** Dry - **Specific Uses For Product:** Stomach ## Images ![Manna Pro Chick Grit with Probiotics, Crushed Granite, 25 lb Bag - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71EC3r0tUAS.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Flavor** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: When should I start giving my chicks grit?** A: Introduce chick grit when offering treats or grains, typically around 2-3 weeks of age. **Q: Is this product suitable for other poultry, like ducklings?** A: Yes, Manna Pro Chick Grit is suitable for various young poultry, including ducklings. **Q: How should I store the grit?** A: Store in a cool, dry place to maintain freshness and prevent clumping. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Essential for Healthy Digestion — Works Exactly as It Should! *by G***K on January 17, 2026* I bought Manna Pro Chick Grit for my flock after reading that young chicks sometimes struggle to digest their feed properly. They took to it immediately and are now 9 week old healthy, happy chickens. I really like the fact that it also has probiotics, which are important, especially for new chicks. Highly recommended. ## Frequently Bought Together - Manna Pro Chick Grit, Digestive Supplement for Young Poultry and Bantam Breed, Probiotics to Support Digestion, No Artificial Ingredients or Preservatives, Insoluble Crushed Granite, 25 lbs - Manna Pro Chick Starter Grower - Medicated Chick Feed Crumble for Young Chickens - Formulated with Amprolium - 5 lbs - Manna Pro Fresh Flakes | Chicken Coop Bedding | Pine Shavings for Chicken Bedding | 4 Cubic Feet --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/323216675-manna-pro-chick-grit-with-probiotics-crushed-granite-25-lb](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/323216675-manna-pro-chick-grit-with-probiotics-crushed-granite-25-lb) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
