A: Yes it does. Someone commented that it left dark marks on the bottom of white bowls. I ordered black and have been pleased with them.

**Q: is this bowl safe? fda says don’t use melamine in microwave or hot food, yet this says its okay...?**
A: I wouldn’t put this in the microwave. I can’t check specs because I sent it to my grandson to use as a pistachio bowl. It’s good quality and heavier than I thought.
