The sleeve bearings aren't too loose or too tight (they don't freely spin, but are still responsive), the knurling is not too aggressive, the bar thickness is a little less than most others I've used at the gym (which I really like) and that may be due to the less aggressive knurling. I tossed a few hundred pounds on it and deadlifted a bit. Has good response, not too springy.
