It is used to remove iron based black sands or magnetite from your concentrate material that can be a real chore. It makes your fine gold recovery much easier. Works best dry, but will work wet as well. **Q: What is the little squirter bottle for?** A: The snifter is used after you’ve panned down to gold or nearly so to help with extraction from your mineral deposit **Q: So the question nobody's asked is which is better at recovering gold.... I would think the alum with mat?** A: I haven’t tried mine yet. I would bet they’re equally good because one catches nuggets the other fine gold. It’s gonna be fun can’t wait to get mine! **Q: Can you buy just the aluminum sluice box and mat?** A: Yes, those items are available in the manufacturer Amazon store, ASR Outdoor. If you click on the brand name it will take you to all of the product offerings. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lots of fun with the kids *by D***T on December 10, 2024* We live in Missouri we took it to small creeks didn't find anything but small metal shavings easy to use after watching a YouTube video took it the beach on vacation kids enjoyed it I've played with it no luck on gold but it seems the function pretty good was not heavy and the bag made it easy to carry and easy to put back in the bag and the size of the bag will sit behind my truck seat it was a decent price ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome product *by B***N on June 8, 2026* Great to have very useful ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun outdoors *by L***T on May 16, 2026* Would use any time. ## Frequently Bought Together - ASR Outdoor Lightweight Backpack Gold Panning Kit with Mini Aluminum Sluice Box, 14pc - Natotinorch Hand Metal Detector, High Sensitivity Metal Detector with LCD Display&Belt Holster,360°Scanning,All Metal Finder Locating Gold Coin Silver Jewelry Waterproof --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/317473818-lightweight-backpack-gold-panning-kit-with-mini-aluminum-sluice-box](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/317473818-lightweight-backpack-gold-panning-kit-with-mini-aluminum-sluice-box) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
