I already had ordered the 96 inch version of these and was entirely satisfied. When the "other" 60 inch hoses came in I was very disappointed to see that the other brand has a very tiny (3/16") hole where the water enters the hose and where the water exits the hose. The effect of this tiny hole is to limit how much water will pass through the hose per minute. Since my Kenmore washer fills until the water level switch stops the filling (gallons) the smaller the hole the longer it takes to fill my washer. I was very pleased to see that these have a much larger hole (about 5/16" or 60% larger) and accordingly my washer fills considerably faster.Full wash on full water level with second final rinse takes about 15 minutes less time to complete the entire cycle. Four loads means an hour that I don't have to spend waiting on the washing machine. The hoses are substantial and surprisingly high quality - The stainless steel braid that covers the vinyl hose, and the ferrule fitting is non-magnetic stainless steel (304? ,305? 319?) which means they probably won't rust in my life time. The hoses are vinyl hose with a stainless steel outside braid so the hoses don't just expand and rupture with hot water under pressure. The connection that mounts the hose to the hose bib fitting is brass so again rust and general deterioration is not going to be a problem in my lifetime.$ 16.53 and free shipping versus $ 15.99 prime - I got this sort of quality for 54 cents? Really? Have not had any issues with them. I don't know if the water flow rate is slower than with the rubber hoses they replaced as some have suggested. After I put the clothes in the washer and turn it on, I don't hang around to see how long it takes the washer to fill. I do know that our washer comes on for a few seconds shortly after the water starts and that still happens pretty quickly. I don't actually know how old the old hoses were, but they were over 10 years old.
