However, I believe those impressions are due to the somewhat military tough looking design of the back of the case featuring rubberized bold bars and contours. Now, after spending time with the case I've come to appreciate it fits the phone well, it provides a firm grip, and can easily be inserted and removed one handed from the secure belt clip holster. I haven't dropped my iPhone XR with this case but I do believe it would provide a fair amount of protection to the phone. The kickstand on the back can even be folded out and a finger placed through it when holding the phone for longer periods for extra security from drops.
