Review: Long lasting coffee pot - Bought this as a replacement to many glass cafetière which have been broken over the years. Good quality, sturdy cafetière in a matt black finish. Replacement filters are a real bonus as means you don’t need to reorder when they inevitably wear out. The fit of the filter is very tight so I have had no problem at all with any stray coffee grounds escaping during plunging. It also keeps the coffee warm much longer than a traditional glass cafetière which is a real plus point if you want a second cup. Although dishwasher safe, I would recommend hand washing over the dishwasher on the whole as th3 black coating has come off at a few places after dishwashing. Merely cosmetic of course but so easy to wash by hand that it’s not a big effort and will maintain it’s nice look for longer I feel. I am converted and will not be returning to a glass version again!

Bought this as a replacement to many glass cafetière which have been broken over the years. Good quality, sturdy cafetière in a matt black finish. Replacement filters are a real bonus as means you don’t need to reorder when they inevitably wear out. The fit of the filter is very tight so I have had no problem at all with any stray coffee grounds escaping during plunging. It also keeps the coffee warm much longer than a traditional glass cafetière which is a real plus point if you want a second cup. Although dishwasher safe, I would recommend hand washing over the dishwasher on the whole as th3 black coating has come off at a few places after dishwashing. Merely cosmetic of course but so easy to wash by hand that it’s not a big effort and will maintain it’s nice look for longer I feel. I am converted and will not be returning to a glass version again!

I liked everything about it. You can’t chip it or break it, it’s super-easy to clean. I often make cold-pressed coffee and it’s perfect for that as well as being a conventional caffetierre.
