While the battery easily fits inside the battery compartment, it's only about two thirds the size of the original battery (probably because it's intended for a Dell computer, as noted on the label), and only holds a charge in sleep mode for less than six hours. The original battery still holds a charge, in sleep mode, for several hours longer ('Glad I didn't throw the old, original battery away., because it's going right back in the computer.). Having a lot of experience with batteries, I'd have to say these batteries aren't "New". They're most likely just old batteries that have been put through reconditioning. Over-all, this replacement battery is no substitute for the original battery. On the positive side, the seller does respond to customer concerns in a professional manner.
