We and William Harsey were asked to make a knife for a Canadian special operations force that would serve them well in the north woods of their homeland and on worldwide deployments alike. We believe we have met and exceeded their goals, by creating a combat knife that does everything it should. The spear point profile is flat ground with a tapered top edge that provides for an excellent cutting edge with good tip strength and penetration balance. The Difensa's full tang and handle provide for neutral balance in the users hand. The steel is not matched by any other and is highly corrosive resistant and holds its edge. The balance is perfect and it feels great in the hands. My only concern is they no longer offer the green handle, it is the brown/tan that is the same color of the blade. I thought the green and the tan blade looked really good. If you get the kydex sheath it will wear pretty badly on the Micarta handles. Spartan will polish up your handles for free if you send it back to them. The cost is outrageous for this knife but you get what you pay for with the steel and craftsmanship of this blade. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Remarkable knife. *by M***P on Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2016* This is a purpose built knife.
