Female winter moths are wingless and have to climb trees to await the arrival of the winged males before mating. Vitax Tree Bands are treated with a non-drying adhesive and fit around the trunk of the tree, forming an impenetrable barrier for the female moths and other climbing insects. The result is no mating, no larvae and no damage. Application As the name implies, winter moths are active from Autumn through to Spring. The bands should be fitted throughout this period.
