So, when there was an extra gasket we thought we needed to put it on. We tried so hard that we ruined the extra gasket. We went out and got another gasket and at that point we realized there was one already on it. When we put that lid on without the additional gasket it worked great. I think this might be the problem other users are reporting as leaking.
