Can it hold an 11" ipad?** A: Yes, it should be fine. I use mine for a thick music book.. actually it's too thick (about 2"), and it's pretty heavy. It holds up fine. A tablet should be safe. **Q: How wide or deep is the ledge that the books rest on? 1" or 1.5" or ???** A: The depth is about the width of my thumb. It is plenty thick for a typical small book of sheet music (I have several drum music books and they all fit perfectly fine. If you have a catalog type book (think church hymnal) then you will likely have problems, but revert sheet music book that I have ever dealt with in the past (and I used to sing before getting in to drumming) will be fine. An added little nice surprise that I liked when I unpacked this, was that the "shelf" where you set the sheet music has some adjustable arms that will secure the pages in place until you actually turn them - by adjustable, you can leave them towards the bottom of the base, or put them right smack dab in the middle of the page, if you wish to. I don't see a post pic option, but I will see if I can post a pic after submitting them answer. **Q: Do you have to take this apart to put it back in the bag? Or just fold it up?** A: Just fold it up! **Q: will this support thr weight of an ipad? ipad 2 approx 1.5 lbs** A: I just put an encyclopedia (3 pounds, 7 ounces) (8.5" X 11") on it. The weight shouldn't be a problem; however it is a bit wiggly.
