Review: Wonderful product - These dishes are absolutely beautiful. The size of the pieces and the color are perfect. I was pleasantly surprised at how substantial they were as well. I ordered a 4 piece place setting just to see if I would like them. The minute I saw the small plate, I immediately sat down and ordered another 4 piece place setting. It really is gorgeous dinnerware. I also want to point out that this was the BEST packaging I have ever seen. I have ordered a bunch of stuff over the years and it has been hit or miss insofar as the packaging is concerned. This company does it right. Each setting - salad bowls, pasta bowls, dinner plate, side plate - were packaged in their own box, with cardboard spacers protecting each piece from the next. Those four boxes were then packaged together with cardboard spacers separating each box from the other. That box was then placed in a second box. And this isn’t your typically flimsy cardboard, these are thick, substantial boxes. Given the way they were packaged. I am fairly certain they could have survived anything. Great product, great company. I wholeheartedly endorse this product!

**Q: Are these microwave & dishwasher safe?**
A: NO!  They are not.  I bought this set 4 months ago.  The plates cracked in the microwave.  The plates and bowls also cracked going from hot to cold like Crystal.  The stoneware is very thin- lots of chips and cracks, can even see where areas weren’t completely covered in glaze before going in the kiln.  Worst $90 I’ve ever spent!

**Q: Does silverware leave marks?**
A: Yes. Knives have left marks on the plates, mainly when used to cut food. And spoons have left some marks on the bowls if you use them to scrape food off the walls. Most of the marks become less obvious after being washed. Because of the texture and spots of the paint most of the marks actually look like they belong.

**Q: Does this set have any matching coffee mugs**
A: This listing from Toril shows mugs in the same design. Are these just knockoffs? Gibson should make them too.

I am so in love with these dishes! I was looking for a pretty, beachy, sort of vibe and these remind me of ocean waves on sandy shores! They are stoneware, and glazed but not too heavy, as some stoneware can be. Absolutely beautiful glazing and I love the two different bowls; the regular cereal and the pasta bowl! Perfect in every way!
