I also suspect this burned out my valves *by L***. on Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2022* You cannot choose to have automatic water scheduling and supplement that with a manual schedule. I like scheduling a quick watering after my yard crew visits every Thursday afternoon. In order to do that I must abandon auto scheduling (which is based upon weather). It is only one or the other.Also, I had 6 (of 12 total) valves quit within a month of installing this controller. Using a volt meter I see that this controller spikes the voltage on opening. So,, your old valves are probably going to quit after upgrading to this.Another factor to consider is that the button interface for you to trigger a watering is NOT easy to use. Regarding the manual watering after the yard crew (as mentioned above) ,,, we couldn't get it to work after about an hour of trying.The Android app is poorly organized and obviously designed for Apple interfaces. An android user will find that you tap tap tap a lot, when the andoird interface would normally offer an easier touch interface. The first screen that comes up is to select which controller... When you only have one,,, you Always have to tap past this one (seriously? If there is only one, then open it automatically and move on!). Then the next screen is always the config screen. Not the operation screen. That's OK when you are setting up a new system ... But long term the app always puts you in the wrong screen. There are more problems and I won't list them all. It just poorly designed and organized for an installer, not an owner.Would I buy it again? No. This just happened to be the only controller which has both wifi and an ethernet port... And Btw it is smart that they set it up to use the ethernet cable as first choice connection and wifi as backup.
