I've tried a hundred boots and what ends up happening is the insole material collapses relatively quickly and unevenly, and your foot is no longer parallel to the ground. This causes joint pain, particularly in the knees, and I have to wonder how many people live with this and associate it with age or injury, and never consider their shoes may be causing the problem? I wear them every day. I work in an office, but I do a significant amount of walking between offices. The boot heels--which are hollow--only last about five or six months. They are very comfortable and they've been at a good price. But having to buy them so often gets expensive.
