Let the leather dry completely once used, hour or so, then apply wax. **Q: Can't you just use soap and water to clean the leather (then allow to dry) instead of a Lexol cleaner?** A: I've used a damp cloth to clean a durable leather jacket, but I wouldn't do that on other leather items. Certainly not with soap. The Lexol cleaner will condition and remove surface dirt. You can remove the finish if you use to much or scrub too hard.
