Tough conditions demand tough truck shocks. The large bore KYB MonoMax provides the additional stability that heavier, more powerful or high center of gravity vehicles demand. The KYB MonoMax is a heavy duty monotube shock absorber that provides the most handling, control and durability of any KYB shock; and it’s just for trucks. The MonoMax’s tough design automatically adjusts to driving conditions with fade-free performance. The KYB MonoMax has an outstanding reputation for vehicles that do real work, go off-road, tow a trailer or haul heavy loads. It uses a work-ready, zinc-coated steel piston ring and includes an off-road dust boot.

Review: More damping than stock - Maybe too much damping initially. These really stiffen up the ride. I imagine they will "break in" and be perfect eventually. I only have a couple hundred miles on them so far. Mounted on a 1994 "Gen 2" Toyota 4Runner 4WD.

Maybe too much damping initially. These really stiffen up the ride. I imagine they will "break in" and be perfect eventually. I only have a couple hundred miles on them so far. Mounted on a 1994 "Gen 2" Toyota 4Runner 4WD.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Breaking in nicely!

After 1000 miles these feel great. They were pretty stiff at first, but I also replaced my rear coil springs at the same time, so I'm sure that added to the feeling. I replaced both front and rear shocks with these KYBs. No complaints whatsoever. ('95 4Runner)
