Until then I took it in the evening as assurance to move my bowels the next morning if I was having problems with constipation. So, it was not a consistent supplementation, until I discovered this when I my post operative instructions were to add magnesium supplementation. Magnesium may also provide protection from a number of chronic diseases, especially those associated with aging and stress.
