Great quality great price and all the screw holes lined up except for one screw hole for the battery tray I drilled my self and everything else was perfect no bending even after hitting a couple curbs and bashing

Super tough part. I went through two stock chassis before I finally bought this upgrade. For only $5 more than the stock chassis it totally enhances the durability of my volcano epx Pro. It fit perfectly except for the battery box for which I had to drill only one hole. I used a #10 countersink bit and the old plastic chassis served as a template. I still give this thing 5 stars because the battery box is only a recent addition to the stock model anyway, I assume they used to an older Chassis as a template. You really can't beat the price other comprable aluminum chassis are upwards of $40.Also only weighs ~3oz more than stock polycarbonate chassis so it doesn't hinder the overall performance of the truck. I have been bashing the truck with this chassis for weeks now and have not had any bending or breakage. I would recommend this upgrade for the brushless truck if you're a basher. I only wish I had done this upgrade after the chassis broke first time.

The look and feel show this is a quality item. the cutouts, and holes lined up within <1mm to the factory holes. I have a Redcat Volcano EPX Pro and the battery box has integrated posts and the 2 holes needed to screw in the box are not in this chassis. I set the OEM chassis on top of this one, and used a center punch to mark the holes for drilling. After drilling through the top, I then ran a countersink from the bottom so the screws would all sit flush with the bottom. Take your time lining things up and don't fully tighten screws until you have them all in place. this will allow for the slight shifting of pieces and not pull them too far out of alignment with the holes so you can't get the next screws in.The screws that come included have much smaller heads that the originals so I recommend using the original screws.The cost of this is just under double a plastic original replacement, and I would probably break a few of them before I ever damage this to the point of needing replaced. Aluminum is "soft" so expect this to get scratched up pretty easily unless you are only using it indoors or on fluffy grass.The added weight helps keep down the wheelies I was pulling with the original plastic chassis and I think helps the suspension settle a little better without being as bouncy.

On the outside it looks good holes look like they match up very well field no sharp edges nuff said great product. Obtw this is for a Redcat volcano hi Moto HSP perfect fit

Exactly as described. works perfect on Redcat Volcano EPX (has slight issue with clearance for Larger than Factory Motors you may have to remove some material to fit the Larger versions of the 550 brushed Motors) I have a Titan 21t 14 Volt 550 Motor in mine running 3s. This Chassis is the best upgrade I have made.

My girl-friend has destroyed 2 frames to my NitroRCX off-road car. One would think this would be expected since I increased its top speed by 33% with almost all stock parts. But I disagree. Precision driving and jumping might prevent this from happening. Either way, replacing the flexible, soft frame with this beautiful aluminum part was an epic upgrade. It added some weight to it, that still improved the cars center of gravity and handling capability. Everything transitioned to it perfectly (which was a big win for me). And it looks awesome. I would recommend this product for sure, along with the seller.

Put this chassis on my redcat volcano epx pro.The picture doesn't due justice to how nice it is in person. Very nice upon the first impression, took it out for the first run and the front drive shaft came loose, thinking that it was a self error I torqued it down again and same results. so I looked at it and looked at it and the result is the front end it pitched. I don't remember the original being like that and cant refer back to it since that one snapped at the front. so I pulled out the center drive shaft and I am now running two wheel drive. I was really excited for this to come in the mail and I am nearly done being full aluminum. after my third short run and it flipping a few times I jut happen to look a the front end where it is pitched at and it is already starting to bend. I like the product and don't know if this is how it is suppose to be but I would not buy this for the volcano unless you want to bend the front end down. that is what I plan on doing with my bench vice.
