A: Yes, but if the test area is too small, the error will be larger.So we are not very recommended

**Q: Will this work with a paper bubble mailer to gauge the thickness of the mailer and its contents?**
A: No. I wouldn't think so. It is specific to known materials such as metal. This must be part of the settings to accurately measure thickness.

**Q: can it measure double glazing?**
A: Probably not as the material is in two separate pieced (thickness).   The ultrasonic emission would stop at the back of the initial thickness of the first piece and rebound back to the gauge.

**Q: Will it measure the thickness of an empty polyethylene tank?**
A: The speed of sound must be accurately set in the unit and calibrated on a sample of the PVC of a known thickness.
