It does say not to use it if you have pain from grinding which would indicate a more serious problem. **Q: After you peel it out of the tray, does it consist of one piece of flexible plastic? Or is the flexible part laminated to a rigid part?** A: There is a white plastic tray for fitting it the first time. Once fitted, you remove the mouth guard and it consists of a soft silicon part with your tooth impressions embedded in it, and a tougher translucent foundation that keeps you from biting through the guard.
