It will be slightly less due to losses through the inverter. I ran a 500W load until dead and it shut down at circa 56 minutes. Load was a fan heater. **Q: Hi i have a product which produces 180 watts how long can the jackery 500 power it on for?** A: As this unit has 518Wh capacity if you divide that by 180W you get 2.87 hours. If it is an AC180 Watts then you will have some losses through the inverter so it will be a little less (circa 5% ish). **Q: Would i be able to connect this to existing solar chage controller which is running my boats 12v system.** A: Yes as long as the connection in the same **Q: Will this run a 500w heater? or does it need to be under 500w meaning 499w or less?** A: I would say that the Jackery would be operating right on its limit. As with a heater then it would be in operation for some time. So for me l wouldn’t run it. I understand the Jackery is rated for 500watts and a 1000watts peak, but l personally would use a lower wattage heater, 250watts or similar. ## Frequently Bought Together - Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 500, 518Wh Outdoor Backup Mobile Lithium Battery Pack with 230V/500W AC Outlet for holiday RV Camping, Outdoor Adventure, Emergency - Jackery SolarSaga 100W Portable Solar Panel for Explorer 240/500/1000 Power Station, Foldable Monocrystalline Solar Cell Solar Charger with USB Outputs for Phones Off-Grid Home - Trunab Travel Carrying Bag Compatible with Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 500, Storage Case with Waterproof Bottom and Front Pockets for Charging Cable and Accessories --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/293646361-jackery-explorer-500-portable-power-station-518wh-compact-backup-power](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/293646361-jackery-explorer-500-portable-power-station-518wh-compact-backup-power) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
