However, if using the weighted base, instead of the clamp, you cannot extend the light very far as the base is not stable (or the light is too heavy) and the light falls over. **Q: Does the lamp give off heat? If working under it will it cause your hands to become too hot?** A: I have mine on right now. It's been on for 3 or 4 hours. I just now put my hand within 1/8" of the diodes themselves and I could barely feel any heat. **Q: Does this have a light bulb thatburns out and needs changed periodically? If so, where are they available and how much do they cost?** A: I’ve not had to change the bulb. I assumed being LED is should last a while. Be careful to read reviews. The magnifying glass/light is very difficult to attach and the weighted base is not heavy enough. If you extend the light more than about half way past the length of the arm, it will fall over. **Q: When we stretch our necks, is the base heavy enough not to tip over?** A: To a certain point, but not straight out ## Frequently Bought Together - HITTI 【Upgraded】 5X LED Magnifying Lamp, 1,800 Lumens Stepless Dimmable, 3 Color Modes, 8-Diopter 4.2″ Real Glass Lens Magnifier Desk lamp, Magnifying Light and Stand for Crafts Reading Close Work - Miniature Painting Kit - (Set of 13) Fine Micro Detail Paint Brushes, Miniature Paint Brushes for Models, Face, Nail Art, Fantasy, Acrylic, Watercolor, Oil, By Numbers, Citadel Figurines Warhammer 40k - Games Workshop - Citadel Colour Painting Handle XL v2 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/293480243-hitti-12x-magnifying-glass-with-light-1-800-lumens-stepless](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/293480243-hitti-12x-magnifying-glass-with-light-1-800-lumens-stepless) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-23*
