Review: Don't buy this to use with a mask mount - After frequently using and loving my Dive Camera+ for a number of years, I wanted more capability, so I bought a Vaquita and mask mount through desertcart. I was very surprised and disappointed when it arrived to see how much larger and heavier it was than the Dive Camera+. I was further surprised to discover the mask mount came with no instructions. I connected the Vaquita to the mask mount, attached the whole thing to my mask and put it on. One of the great things about the Dive Camera+ is that it’s mounted on the mask at eye level and very secure. The mask mount is so comfortable and the camera so light I never feel it while diving. None of the above can be said about the Vaquita. It’s now mounted above eye level, so there will be parallax problems trying to frame subjects. The mask mount is neither securely mounted to the mask nor is it comfortable. I returned the camera and mask mount for a full refund.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can you use it for regular recording outside water scene?**
A: Yes! You can use the camera above the water as well - however, in high resolutions (e.g. 4K 30 fps) it might get quite warm, as the aluminum body is a great conductor of heat (cooled down in the water).

**Q: Having shot some video while snorkeling, i've found using a light significantly improves the quality.    does the dcc negate the need for a light?**
A: DCC just adds red color the deeper you get to make up for the water filtering out the red color. If you shine an artificial light underwater, that light will give the entire spectrum of light including a red color and the DCC will also add red color, so your image will be red. So turn DCC off when you plan to bring a light, especially during a night dive. For snorkeling it shouldn’t matter much, since you are at the surface and the DCC will not add too much red. Any picture will be better with more light (within limits).

**Q: Can this camera be mounted to a rifle for POV recordings during competition and can it handle the shock of the recoil?**
A: To my knowledge, it is not recommended for out of the water picture taking. It is basically designed as a dive camera to be used underwater

A: Yes

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Video 30 feet depth plus

Video at 30 feet and below is better than GoPro 10. Above 30 feet it isn’t as good but still ok. Camera does have issues with freezing but you can power cycle when this happens by holding switch for 20 seconds and it resets. Overall still worth it, even though they have some kinks to still work out.
