I have used the Chinatown goji berries (much cheaper!) to the Goji berries that I got at a historic pharmacy used by the Emperors of China to the ones that are shipped automatically by Amazon. This Bija Heaven Mountain Goji berries top them all !! If you can imagine eating freshly sun dried raisins from California that still has moisture, then that is what you are eating with this Goji berries! The flavor was intense and very sweet. It lacked the medicinal taste that some Goji berries have (like NaturaVita for example).Supposedly this Goji berries may have more nutritional qualities as it was supposedly grown in a pristine environment thousands of miles away from modern industries in alkaline soils. The friend uses the organic, dried berries but they are hard to chew and not much flavor to me. I like the Bija Heaven Mountain Goji Berries because they are soft and easy to chew. Make a great snack or a nice addition to my oatmeal or salad. The flavor is interesting and is between a cranberry and a cherry which is refreshing. The cost is very reasonable compared to what my friend is paying for the dried berries. Currently I have 5 bags on hand and will continue to purchase them when I need too. They could change their product description to say that it is grown in Central Asia, and not in China. I adore Heaven Mountain Goji berries, don't get me wrong...but don't advertise what you're not selling. And it's the same product for $2 more expensive.
