Note: The cap will require very little pressure from the tool and should spin with little to no resistance. Continue turning until you begin to feel resistance against the CO2 Cartridge. From this point, continue tightening 1/4 turn further. Do not over tighten the cap. While the CO2 cartridge will be enough to power 20+ rounds, once the CO2 is pierced, even if it is not fully exhausted, it should be replaced by an unused cartridge before the launcher is stored. Put the launcher in SAFE mode (if equipped with a safety), remove the magazine and make sure there is not a projectile in the breech. Point the barrel in a safe direction. Remove the CO2 cap using the cap tool (built into magazine base). Insert a new unused CO2 cylinder into the CO2 chamber and use your finger to push the cylinder firmly to the back of the chamber. Begin threading the CO2 cap by hand to prevent cross-threading. Use the CO2 cap tool to continue tightening the cap. It is recommended to keep an unpunctured cylinder in your launcher at all times for self-defense purposes. Punctured cylinders within your Byrna Launcher will leak over time. That being said, I see a lot of LTL who own Byrna launchers using off brand CO2 so it's up to you. Also Byrna says to oil your launcher after every 500 rounds, so if you have the oil cartridge, you don't need to use it after every 9 cartages, you can save them for when you've gone through 70-75 reloads (5 round clip) then you'll be getting closer to the 500 round recommendation. **Q: How do I know wich one is the oiler?
