I enjoyed both flavors. A few minutes into having it in your mouth you get a strong hit of the coffee taste. It doesn't last long and then it mellows out. The packet lasts about 10-15 minutes. After that it starts to break down and you'll get bits of coffee type granules in your mouth, not pleasant. Next time I'll pay a little more attention. As far as a caffeine boost, I feel I got one, and as far as that goes if you wanted a bigger one. I don't think you'd have a problem with a second or third one. I had had a morning coffee about a half hour before popping one in and going outside to get a few chores done. I didn't feel over buzzed or anything, but I did feel a good feeling of wakefulness and energy. It probably lasted about an hour. Easy for on the go or road trips, after all you can't spill a pouch, and you wont have to pee all the time like drinking coffee.
