When I tried the samples, I felt that they did give me some energy to stay awake and even do some housework. I then bought 2 bottles at a drug store. I ran out and then was glad to find this 3 pack on Amazon, I like all the flavors. On the days I need to stay awake to watch my 3 yr old grandson for 12 hours straight these help me. They don't make me feel jittery or has my heart ever raced or anything when I take these. I can't just chew 3 of these and clean my whole house or anything, they aren't a miracle cure or anything, but I feel they do help me out with a bit of energy and I will continue to use them. I chew 3 at a time and only take 3 a day. Since I'm not a fan of dark chocolate, I can't judge the taste for a comparison, but they are quite palatable, and I don't cringe when I get to have one. My favorite is the chocolate mint, and my spouse prefers the fruit/chocolate. I sure wish they would come out with other flavors. I bought these after trying a sample, and looked at several stores for them.
