The mesh is so fine that even quinoa doesn't fall through either. I use it all the time for rinsing rice. **Q: Is the mesh fine enough to use with quinoa?** A: Coffee grounds won't go through. It's that fine. It's nice an large. 10.5 wide. It stands by itself. **Q: 2 questions: Is this rustproof food grade 18/8 stainless steel and, What material is the mesh made of?** A: I'm not positive what grade it is . It's stailnless steel and hasn't rusted on me as of yet. I have rinsed quinoa in it and it hasn't fallen through. **Q: Seller, this page doesn't list mesh size, not even to call it fine medium or coarse. What is the mesh size?** A: I did a thread count and I estimate it is between size 23 and size 25.
